The Bentley GT3-R

So the announcement from Bentley that they are making a Continental GT3-R was released this week.

Rumour has it that it will be debuted at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. I for one cannot wait! Based on Bentley’s GT3 race car it promises to be the quickest accelerating Bentley ever with a 0-60mpg in 3.6s.

This is to be achieved by shedding over 200lbs and being driven by a 4.0 litre Twin Turbo V8. It only has 2 seats so less of a family car and more of personal driving experience.

There is always a downside though … only 300 are going to be produced. A quick look about on Google shows at least one dealer is already taking pre-orders so I expect they will be fully taken up soon. They will all be the same colour when delivered the white with the two tone green lines shown above.

So far this has to be the thing I am most looking forward to listening to at Goodwood. It’s exhaust system has been specifically tuned by Bentley to have unique roar.
