Aston Martin is renowned for producing iconic luxury sports cars and grand tourers. Each and every car is not only beautifully crafted but engineered with precision to deliver a thrilling drive. Even the Aston Martin logo colours of black, green and white signify qualities such as elegance, uniqueness and prestige.
Aston Martin is intrinsically linked with the James Bond ‘007’ films starting back in 1964 with the Oscar winning film Goldfinger. Since then the relationship has spanned 50 years and Aston Martins have appeared in 11 ‘007’ films. In April 2020 the latest James bond film ‘No Time To Die’ will be released here in the UK, where four more Aston Martins will take to the screen. The line-up is said to include the classic DB5 which was the first Aston Martin ever used, the DBS Superleggera, the Valhalla and the V8 Vantage.
So, if you were James Bond which model would you like to drive?
Here’s four models you may like to consider.
DB5
Maybe predictable but what’s not to love about the DB5? Iconic, classy, super elegant, stylish, the list of accolades just goes on and on. It delivers in every way and so really does have to be right up there at the top of the list. Mind you with an auction sale price of $6.4 million you may find your wallet may not stretch this far! https://www.theguardian.com/film/2019/aug/16/james-bond-aston-martin-db5-sold-at-auction-for-52m
DBX
The latest addition to the Aston Martin suite is their entry into the SUV market and it’s really rather nice. Staying true to its brand – unlike other high-end manufacturers who have also entered the SUV market – Aston Martin have done a grand job of staying true to their brand and creating a supercar that’s an SUV. Prices start at just £158,000 which compared to sum is a mere snip so maybe Aston Martin have positioned this right in the hope that it will give the company the much needed boost they need.
DB11
If you like grand tourers then the DB11 could be your choice. It’s a wonderful combination of beauty, performance and comfort that really does tick all the boxes. The DB11 was Aston Martins first new car in nearly 14 years and was released back in March 2016. Although the model takes features from the exclusive James Bond DB10 the DB11 has a modern look, sharp lines and many technical elements to ensure aerodynamic efficiency. You can expect all the standard luxury comforts inside that Aston Martin has to offer.
Vanquish
For some the Vanquish won’t be on their list but we think it’s worth noting. Having first appeared on the market back in 2001 the model has undergone various improvements and changes over the years. The latest model has a certain softer elegant look compared to its predecessors but there’s no compromise on power. The V12 engine was upgraded to 600hp at the end of 2016 and Aston Martin really have elevated the Vanquish to the next level with precision driving and cocooned comfort especially on roads that are not just made of sleek tarmac.
